Her family beams that Megan’s, “warrior spirit, sparkle, and bubbly personality helped guide her through this incredibly tough journey.”
Life at All-Star Megan’s house was filled with constant activity. She, along with her twin sister and her older brother, were involved in everything: sports, school clubs, church groups, and more.
However, in November of 2018 their seemingly normal, busy life came to a screeching halt. Megan was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer. Megan’s family was devastated and afraid of what the future might hold.
Megan’s mom, Andrea, explained the fears that constantly ran through her mind, “How will Megan react to chemotherapy? How will this affect our family? How do we stay strong? How will we be able to afford treatment and time off of work?”
Pinky Swear Foundation was there to help them when they needed it most and supported Megan’s family with a mortgage payment to help ease their overwhelming stress. This relief allowed Megan’s family to focus on what’s truly important – Megan beating cancer.
Megan never stopped fighting. She endured 12 rounds of chemotherapy before her cancer was surgically removed in April of 2019. After, she continued through six more rounds of chemotherapy. Her family was with her every step of the way and so was Pinky Swear Foundation.
As of July 2019, Megan is now a cancer survivor! Her family beams that Megan’s, “warrior spirit, sparkle, and bubbly personality helped guide her through this incredibly tough journey.”
