All-Star Rider was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia as a pre-teen. He spent 9 months in and out of the hospital, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although Rider is cancer free and has had great numbers every time, the mental toll that cancer took on him was hard. He talks about his struggles mentally. After all, everything had changed drastically while he was in the hospital and it was isolating. The one thing that remained though was his relationship with his mom Jen. They are inseparable. They cook together, go to sporting events together, and most importantly are there for each other. Unfortunately, their cancer journey is far from over. Jen herself has been battling a rare Thyroid Cancer that will continue to challenge the two.
