When a parent hears the words “your child has cancer,” the shock is unimaginable.
If you have heard a friend or family member tell you “My child has cancer” you know the helpless feeling of not knowing what to do. As humans, we immediately want to help.
So, what do you even write on a card for a child facing cancer? You want to share your heartfelt love and encouragement while also recognizing how hard life must feel for these families. Based on our 20 years of experience in the pediatric cancer space, we put together a list of dos and don’ts when it comes to writing notes to kids with cancer and their families.
