Bloomington, MN (July 9, 2018) – As part of the Pinky Swear Foundation’s 15 year anniversary celebration, the national nonprofit based in Bloomington, MN will host its annual Hy-Vee Pinky Swear Minneapolis Kids Triathlon on Saturday, August 4 at Lake Nokomis, Minneapolis. All proceeds from the event will support kids with cancer and their families across the country through a variety of programs and initiatives. Registration is now open at www.pinkyswear.org.

Registration fee: $50/participant before August 1; $60/participant for walk-ups on August 3 (no day-of registrations)

The annual kids triathlon will include swimming, biking and running events and is open to kids of all abilities, ages 6-18. This non-timed, non-competitive race has a goal of raising $100,000 to help provide basic necessities for families battling childhood cancer and paying for immediate non-medical needs like mortgages, rent, utility bills, and food.
Pinky Swear Foundation has been hosting community kids triathlons around the country since its formation in 2003. These events have raised more than $5.3 million to support the mission of helping kids with cancer. Additional Pinky Swear Foundation events include community 5K and Fun Runs, National Pinky Swear Day (December 11) and more.
