Pinky Swear Joins Give Twin Cities Challenge on Crowdrise

Help Pinky Swear win $25,000 by donating to its CrowdRise campaign

BLOOMINGTON, MINNESOTA (May 18, 2016)  — Pinky Swear has joined the Give Twin Cities Challenge, a fundraising competition on CrowdRise, the largest crowdfunding platform for good. The Give Twin Cities Challenge was launched by Minnesota Monthly to help local charities gain awareness, and most importantly, funds for their cause. Participating organizations will compete for $55,000 in prize money. Pinky Swear has joined the challenge on CrowdRise in hopes of raising money to support kids with cancer and their families with financial and emotional support.

Since 2003, Pinky Swear Foundation has supported families’ quality-of-life with direct financial aid for basic needs, and through experiences that create emotional support, including home rescue, reliable transportation, groceries, utility payments, stocked hospital pantries and weekend family getaways.

“Families plan for college, not for cancer,” stated Brian Nelson, Executive Director. “Funds raised in the CrowdRise challenge will help further the Pinky Swear mission, and give families one less thing to worry about during their unexpected crisis, so they focus on what’s most important: their child with cancer.”

The Give Twin Cities Challenge launched on CrowdRise on May 17th at 12pm ET and runs through June 30th at 1:59:59pm ET. The team that raises the most during the Challenge wins $25,000 and 2nd place gets $15,000 and 3rd place gets $10,000. Weekly Bonus Challenges enable charities to win up to another $5,000.

CrowdRise Challenges are innovative fundraising competitions for charitable organizations designed to build capacity, create massive engagement, and leverage the power of the crowd to provide new meaningful funding streams for organizations in every sector.
