$1.5 Million Raised by Your Community to Help Kids with Cancer

KLN FAMILY BRANDS & GENEROUS FAMILY FOUNDATION TRIPLE $500,000 DONATED TO PINKY SWEAR FOUNDATIONEDINA, MINN – [November 14, 2021] – Pinky Swear Foundation is excited to announce the completion of a $500,000 community fundraising challenge. Thanks to KLN Family Brands and a generous family foundation, these funds will be tripled, totaling $1.5 million for kids with cancer and their families. Supporters from communities across the country created online fundraisers, hosted in-person initiatives and more to raise funds to be matched, significantly increasing their impact.

“It was powerful to see the community come together for kids with cancer,” says Chloe Czaplewski, community fundraising manager for Pinky Swear Foundation. “It was a lofty goal, but we knew we could do it. These matching grants were real ‘game-changers’ for our team and have really transformed our organization.”

What is community fundraising?

Community fundraising (aka peer-to-peer fundraising) is any time when you ask friends, family, or community members for donations on behalf of a nonprofit. When you fundraise for Pinky Swear Foundation, you’re helping children with cancer and their families when they need it most – right now. You can participate in community fundraising by:

• Getting messy for kids with cancer by participating in the #CancerIsMessy initiative
• Starting a Facebook fundraiser
• Hosting a “give back” night at your favorite local restaurant where a portion of sales is donated
