I’m a big believer of small acts of kindness.
You probably have been both the giver and the receiver of small acts of kindness. That extra smile, the unsolicited compliment, or the door opened.
The desire to make a difference is an inherent trait, and one that makes us human.
Luckily, it doesn’t take a lot to make a difference.
For example, we currently have a wonderful program with Hy-Vee, Inc., an employee-owned corporation operating more than 285 retail stores across eight Midwestern states. The supermarket chain is synonymous with quality, variety, convenience, healthy lifestyles, culinary expertise, and superior customer service. They annually offer a ‘Register Round Up” campaign in their stores. Shoppers can ‘round up’ their purchase to the nearest dollar, essentially donating less than a dollar at the register.
Every penny counts.
You can literally “be the change” you want to see in the world.
In 2023, the Hy-Vee Register Round Up generated more than $237,000 for kids with cancer and their families. Wow!
That amount has a tremendous impact on families with a child battling cancer. Right now.
We are so grateful to the many Hy-Vee customers who created this great ripple effect of kindness!
Pinkies up!
P.S. In case you missed the Hy-Vee Register Round Up, you can donate a small amount here.
