Q: What drew you to Pinky Swear Foundation?
A: Pinky Swear's mission and its local presence appealed to me, as I wanted to ensure I was contributing to the local community.
Q: There are a lot of organizations that support cancer. What about Pinky Swear’s mission stands out to you?
A: While many organizations focus on eradicating childhood cancer and hospitalization, few, like Pinky Swear, assist families with everyday expenses during medical crises associated with childhood cancer. The payment of a parent's mortgage or fuel can significantly impact their family finances. Pinky Swear’s support means there’s one less thing to worry about.
Q: What do each of the Pinky Swear values (Compassion, Collaboration, Celebration) mean to you?
A: Compassion is all about understanding and empathy—being able to put yourself in someone else's shoes. Collaboration, to me, means togetherness and a sense of belonging within the community. Celebration means being there for others in good and bad time, sharing bread and supporting each other.

Q: Is there a particular accomplishment during your tenure on the Board of Directors that you’re proud of?
A: Helping more families every year has been a proud accomplishment during my tenure.
Q: What talents do you bring to the Pinky Swear Foundation Board of Directors?
A: As a technologist and business executive, I bring a vast array of skills and expertise to help drive the organization's technology vision and strategy. I also provide business points of view in other areas, such as in the Finance and Investment Committee.
Q: What have you learned during your time on the Pinky Swear Board of Directors?
A: I have learned about the challenges families face when dealing with childhood cancer through their stories and letters of appreciation to Pinky Swear. Additionally, I've learned it takes dedication and commitment to support Pinky Swear's mission of helping every family in need and their vision to say “YES” to every family.
Q: What are your hopes for Pinky Swear Foundation in the childhood cancer space?
A: My hope for Pinky Swear is to continue to say “YES” to supporting every family. Hopefully, one day, when childhood cancer is eradicated, Pinky Swear can refocus on helping kids thrive.
Q: If there is one thing you want people to know about Pinky Swear Foundation, what would it be?
A: First, that Pinky Swear Foundation is a special place with great people working to achieve a child's (Mitch) dream of helping other kids battling cancer. Secondly, that Pinky Swear assists families in managing daily challenges, allowing them to concentrate on what matters most - their child's cancer treatment and recovery.
