Dean Snyder Construction Donates $25,000 to Pinky Swear Foundation to Help Kids with Cancer and Their Families

Des Moines, IA (May 9, 2019) – Pinky Swear Foundation announced today that Iowa-based company, Dean Snyder Construction will be the $25,000 presenting sponsor for the 2019 WHO Pinky Swear Radiothon in December. Don Snyder, director of operations for Dean Snyder Construction, became involved with Pinky Swear Foundation after hearing the story of a family dealing with childhood cancer during the 2017 radiothon.“It touched me so deeply that I immediately called in to donate,” said Snyder. The company then joined as a sponsor of the 2018 radiothon, and Snyder even volunteered his own time to answer calls for the event. “It’s a parent’s worst nightmare to have their child diagnosed with cancer. The assistance Pinky Swear provides to help with bills that are weighing heavily on these parents allows them to focus on what’s import – their family. We’ve now made it a company priority to support the foundation, which helps to keep our communities strong.”Because one in 11 families with a child diagnosed with cancer files for bankruptcy, Pinky Swear Foundation supports families of children with cancer through direct financial aid for basic needs and through experiences that offer emotional support for the entire family. Founded in Minneapolis, Pinky Swear Foundation helps families across the nation, including throughout Iowa.

The 2018 radiothon event raised a record-breaking $173,000 and with Dean Snyder Construction’s support, the 2019 event is in line to raise even more support for families with a child battling cancer.
