Until there is a cure

Until there is a cure, families facing childhood cancer will need financial support. Your generosity provides relief for housing, food, and transportation expenses so families facing childhood cancer can focus on what matters most - their child.

Our founder Mitch created a legacy.

You can too.

Mitch was just 9 years old when he was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer. In the hospital, he overheard a family next to him saying they couldn't afford holiday gifts that year. With help from his parents, Mitch withdrew all the money from his bank account and delivered envelopes of cash to the families on his pediatric oncology floor. In that moment, Mitch made his dad pinky swear promise to keep helping kids with cancer and their families even after he was gone.

Meet Jane: Keeper Society member

Jane and her late husband Don have been generous to Pinky Swear’s mission ever since Don first heard the stories of how Pinky Swear supported families facing childhood cancer.

“The first time I heard Don talk about Pinky Swear - I knew that this would be a part of his legacy after he passed away,” said Jane. “As a father himself, the story of a forever promise between a father and son to help kids with cancer captivated him.”

After Don passed away unexpectedly in 2023, Jane joined the Keeper Society in his memory, ensuring that his legacy of compassion and generosity for families facing childhood cancer is carried forward after both of their lifetimes.

“If there is a family in need because their child has cancer, there is nothing more I want to do in Don’s memory than to be there for them and allow them to focus on their child. It was Mitch’s promise with his father, and I am honored to be a Keeper of both Mitch and Don’s promise to continue helping kids with cancer.”
