Meet Mitch. ⚾

Pinky Swear’s founder, Mitch, loved baseball, the colors blue and orange, and playing pranks (especially on his older sister). He wanted to be a chef when he grew up because he loved cooking for others – even in the hospital. Mitch had a gift for making people laugh and was generous and wise beyond his years. 

Mitch was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer, when he was nine years old. The prognosis was immediately bad, and his physical decline was quick – though his family says he never complained. 

One night, Mitch overheard the parents in the hospital room next door telling their children that they couldn’t afford holiday gifts that year because of the financial impact of cancer. Mitch wanted to change that, so he went to the bank and took out all of his savings to put in orange envelopes to pass out to families on the oncology floor.

After that, he made his dad pinky promise to help kids when he was gone. Your support keeps this promise.
