Your privacy is important. Pinky Swear Foundation does not rent or sell its donor list.

Your personal information may be used by PSF in certain situations. PSF may collect and use your personal information to fulfill a request from you or ensure proper delivery of services you may have requested. In the process, we may share your information with internal staff needed to complete such requests. Additionally, we may share any non-identifying information for statistical or analytic purposes. Discontinuing Contact Upon Request

PSF's policy is to communicate with donors according to their expressed preferences whenever possible. PSF will discontinue or change the method used to contact any person upon that person’s written request.

PSF shall maintain a record of persons who indicate to PSF that they do not wish to be contacted by PSF. This policy does not prohibit contact by an individual or group voluntarily soliciting on behalf of PSF, even if the person being contacted has requested to be placed on the "do not contact list."

Upon a person’s (or a person’s authorized representative’s) request that Pinky Swear Foundation discontinue further contacts, the person’s name and address will be promptly modified in PSF’s donor database to ensure that no further contact is made with the person.

Donor Bill of Rights

Pinky Swear Foundation subscribes to the Donor Bill of Rights, which was created by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the Giving Institute: Leading Consultants to Non-Profits.

Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To ensure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the nonprofit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we declare that all donors have these rights:

  • To be informed of the organization's mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
  • To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization's governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.
  • To have access to the organization's most recent financial statements.
  • To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
  • To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition.
  • To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
  • To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature.
  • To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization, or hired solicitors.
  • To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that an organization may intend to share.
  • To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful, and forthright answers.
